General Configuration.
The general configuration allows you to set
up several items for use in your store. Your general configuration screen should
look like:

Currency Symbol:
If you are using something besides the US dollar enter it's symbol here. By
default it will be set to the US Dollar. The change will be reflected on all
customer generated pages. But not in the merchant administration area.
Retain Customer Profiles:
If you would like TechCart to Save the customer information so that the shopper can login
later and have their order form already filled out select yes. If you do not wish to
use this feature select no.
If you select yes, the user will be displayed a LOGIN screen before checkout that will
allow them to create a new profile or login to their existing profile. If you select
no the user will be taken directly to the order form.
Minimum Order Amount
This will only allow orders that exceed xx.xx to checkout. By default this is set to
0.01.
Require Signature
Some merchants prefer a signature field on their order form. If you add this
signature field to the order form you can require that the signature field is filled in by
selecting yes.
Send Customer Confirmation Email
By default TechCart will send a confirmation email to the customer based on the *.custemail.tpl
template. If you do not wish to email a confirmation to your customers you should
select NO for this field.
Blind Copy Customer Email To:
Merchants who handle their order fulfillment elsewhere may wish to blind copy the customer
confirmation to the distribution center. If you would like to blind carbon copy
(Bcc) the customer's confirmation to someone you can fill in that email address here. If
you have the SEND CUSTOMER CONFIRMATION EMAIL set to no there will be no email dispatched
to either parties.
Save Mail-In/Fax In Orders
If you wish to have Mail-In/Fax In orders stored in the orders database select yes.
By default this is set to yes in case the customer fills out the comments portion of the
order form.
Valid Referrers:
This is an optional security measure design to prevent people from creating HTML forms
that post into your shopping cart. You can enter multiple domain names per store,
separated by a comma. It is recommended that you only enter the domain.com without
the www. This will ensure that pages of your site are not locked out if someone is
able to access your site without the www.
