Catalog Administration: What You Need To Know:

TechCart Enterprise Edition comes with a catalog backend with a default product catalog setup.  The catalog utilizes the MySQL database engine for UNIX/Linux and some prior knowledge of MySQL is required even when using the wizards.

If You Are Using The Wizard and The Default Field Setup:
If you decide to go with the predefined field setup for use with the catalog you will need to have MySQL installed and will need to create a MySQL database on your server for your product tables to go in, for most this is something they can ask their system administrator to handle.

Once this is completed the wizard will create your product tables and handle the rest. You will likely want to customize the default website templates to meet your needs

If You Are NOT using the Wizard and the Default Field Setup:
If your needs are more specific than the generic default setup offers, you will need to have MySQL installed and will need to create a MySQL database on your server for your product tables to go in, for most this is something they can ask their system administrator to handle.  Then it is up to you to design your product table(s) based on your needs.  The WAMY catalog engine can handle ANY MySQL field configuration.  If you are not familiar with MySQL and still have unique needs TNL Total Solutions is available on for hourly rate to assist..
