Shipping Options

Once your customer gets to the checkout the customer will be asked to fill out an order form which consists of their name, address, and among other things how they would like their order shipped to them. The customer is given up to four options which you may configure.

To configure these items you must access ‘Shipping Options’ from the main configuration menu. The Shipping Options menu offers you several options. Here is an overview:

You are allowed 4 different shipping options (i.e. UPS, PRIORITY MAIL, etc). Each of these options can be configured to meet your stores needs.

Option Name: This field is the name of the shipping choice to be displayed to the customer (i.e. UPS (2.00 first item, .50 ea additional) ).
Active/Inactive: This setting is used to determine wether or not this option is to be given as a choice to the customer. Active will display the shipping option when a customer goes to the checkout, inactive willnot.

Type:

You are given 3 choices for shipping rates the choices are as follows, the accompanying fields must be filled in for whichever choice you select.
 
Flat Rate: If you would like each order to be charged a flat shipping/handling rate select this option. If selected you will be required to fill in the amount of the flat rate to be charged.

Percent Of Order:

If you want to calculate shipping/handling costs based on a percentage of the total of the order you would select this option. If selected you will be required to fill in the percent amount to be charged. This percentage must be entered as a decimal amount (i.e. 6.5%=.065).
Per Item Rate Mail-order houses often will charge a per item shipping rate, for example: please add 2.00 for the first item and .50 for each additional item. If you would like to setup your shipping rate in such a manner select the Per Item Rate option. If selected you will be required to fill in the shipping/handling amount for the first item and the amount for each additional item.

Once you have filled in the shipping options configuration screen to meet your needs. press SAVE SHIPPING CONFIGURATION to save the changes to disk.
