Introduction To GroupMAN Email Templates
GroupMAN has many automated responses that it sends out based on the commands
it receives. For example when someone sends an email to your list with the word
HELP on the subject line GroupMAN will send them back an email
with the help.txt template.
GroupMAN templates can be edited to meet your needs either through notepad or
through the List Administration GUI . Most people
will find using the GUI is the easiest way to modify your GroupMAN email templates.
GroupMAN templates are extremely customizable and the internal
variable system will allow you to insert dynamic data into the outgoing
emails as needed.
Editing Templates.
T he List Administration GUI allows
you to edit the default templates that are predefined for GroupMAN.
By default GroupMAN has an extensive set of template for use with the current

related information you can insert GroupMAN variables.
You can type these variables in manually or right click for a complete list
of available variables.
Creating New Templates
If you begin to customize GroupMAN and begin creating new ACTION
COMMANDS you may come to a point where you need to create a new template.
Templates are simply text files that can be created in notepad, wordpad or some
other ASCII text editor. Simply copy your new template(s) into your list templates
folder. If you are not sure where your list template folder is you can double
check in the List Options dialog.
Once you copy your template into your list's templates folder it will appear
in the template editor.
